Every weight in this tool comes from a specific published number: GetCite's 2026 benchmark of 10,000 pages across 12 industries, LLMPulse's citation-probability research, and Ahrefs' December 2025 study of 75,000 brands. Is this a citation tracker like Profound, Peec AI, or Otterly.AI?
No. Those tools (plus Frase and GetCite's own tracker) monitor citations that already happened. This tool is forward-looking, it scores content before you publish, estimating readiness rather than measuring history. Complementary, not competing.
Why does it ask me to check boxes instead of just crawling a URL?
Some factors, video presence, branded search volume, can't be verified from page text without paid third-party data. Rather than fabricate those numbers, every factor is labeled "Detected" (computed from what you paste) or "Self-reported" (a question only you can answer), so you always know what's real analysis and what's your own input.
Does backlink count affect my score?
No, deliberately. Ahrefs' 75,000-brand study found backlinks correlate with AI visibility at only 0.218, far weaker than YouTube mentions (0.737), branded web mentions (0.664), or branded anchor text (0.527). Weighting toward backlinks would contradict the published data.
Does a 100 score guarantee ChatGPT or AI Overviews will cite me?
No. This is a weighted rubric built on correlational research, not a live model crawl or a controlled experiment, and the underlying studies don't claim certainty either. A high score means the structural and entity signals research associates with higher citation rates are present. Treat it as a readiness estimate, not a promise.
